Great Sampford 12th May overnight or early 13th May
A Ford pick up truck has been broken into by breaking the front nearside window.  The steering cowling tampered with but nothing stolen.

Hempstead – metal theft – 12th May overnight
Aluminium strips have been removed from an open rear yard of a business in Hempstead.

Saffron Walden Hill Street Coffee House, 12th May overnight.
A coffee house in Hill Street was broken into and a mobile phone and tools stolen.

Saffron Walden, Day Centre, Hill St, 15th May overnight
At some point between 2pm Saturday 15th May – 9.30am Sun16th May the Day Centre in Hill St has been broken into.  Lead flashing was stolen from the roof in  the offence and it is unclear at the moment whether anything else has been taken. Doors were damaged during the break in.  If you saw anything suspicious, please let us know.

Sewards End  – Bicycle theft – 13th May overnight
A purple child’s bike has been stolen from a garden in Sewards End.   If you see a small purple bike around anywhere, please ring us on 0300 333 4444.

Clavering, Skeins Way, Friday 14th May 10.30 – 10.50 pm
A burglar was disturbed by police in Clavering after a neighbour dialled 999 having heard breaking glass.  The burglar managed to steal various items before being disturbed and despite the use of police dogs, could not be found.  If you saw anybody either running in Clavering between these times or getting into a car hurriedly, please do let us know.

Clavering, Stortford Rd, Friday 14th May before 10.35pm
A householder was awoken by a noise and came downstairs to find that he’d been burgled.  A back window at the property had been forced.  Dogs were used to try to find the suspect but as above nobody was found.

Newport , Tenterfields Millenium burglary – 14th May, overnight
A grey BMW  has been stolen in a millennium burglary in Newport, along with a computer and wallet.   Entry was gained by forcing a rear window.

Criminal Damage – Chapel Hill, Stansted, Thurs 13th May
At 00.40hrs an object was thrown at a double glazed window, smashing the outer pane.  This is a repeat offence.  If you saw or see anyone behaving suspiciously around Chapel Hill at the time, please let us know.
