Elsenham – Golds Nurseries business Park 17th November overnight
At some point over Wednesday night, someone has attempted to gain access to a business premises by jemmying a metal door.  Entry was not gained and nothing was taken.

Attempted garage burglary – Water Lane, Stansted
An attempt has been made to force a door on a garage in Water Lane.  A side window has also been smashed.  Nothing appears to have been stolen.  It is unclear what date this happened on.

Criminal damage / theft – Chapel Hill Stansted Saturday 20th 1am
There have been reports of youths banging on people’s doors early on Saturday morning. Two flower pots were also stolen from a doorstep during this incident.

Shed break ins – Rainsford Rd, Sat 20th 5.30pm – 8.30am Sun 21st
The sheds at two different properties on Rainsford Rd have been broken into.  It is unclear what items have been taken from within the sheds.

Theft of underground cable – Elsenham Road, Stansted,  Sat 20 Nov
At around 5am on Saturday 20th November, a suspect in a Landrover Freelander was disturbed whilst pulling BT cable out of the ground (vehicle recovered at scene).  The suspect made off across fields as officers arrived at the scene (white male in 30’s, wearing hat and dark jacket).
The vehicle is believed to have been using false plates since the index did not match the chassis number which shows it to be a vehicle which was reported as stolen from Hertfordshire on 11th November.   This is the second such offence in 10 days.  In both cases the thefts were discovered whilst in progress and both the cable and vehicles left at the scene

Vehicle theft – Parsonage Rd, Takely Thursday 18th November
Between 6.00 and 8.15pm on Thursday night, a grey Suzuki 4×4 jeep has been stolen from the above location.  The owner noticed a black Audi turning around in his driveway at around 7.30pm which may have been involved in the theft.  If you saw anything suspicious during these times, please let us know.
The vehicle was later recovered in Sawbridgeworth, having been used in a ram raid.
